Nurse

The agreed scope may include vital-sign observations, wound dressings and prescribed injections or infusions within the nurse’s competence and care plan. Tasks are confirmed before care begins.

Does not include medical diagnosis, prescribing or changing doses. Not every procedure or consumable is automatically included in a visit.

NON-MEDICAL SUPPORT

Companion

Companionship, help with daily routines, agreed everyday activities and communication with family. Mobility needs and the limits of assistance are discussed first.

A companion does not replace a nurse. This role does not authorise nursing procedures, administering treatment or changing doses.
